Filtering Children on basis of Parents in Data Search Form

Intro

This feature refines search results dynamically, allowing users to seamlessly navigate relevant sub-items tailored to specific main items. This optimization ensures a more efficient and customized data exploration experience, enhancing precision and flexibility in your search journey.

In this video tutorial you will understand how to filter sub items (children) on the basis of main items (parents) in the data search form.

1. Filtering Data

To begin go to your collection and click on Configuration.

2. Update the Fields

To filter children on the basis of parents in data search form; choose the field and click Child Of. Now add the respective details such as the parent field, child field and display format of teh search form and Update.

3. Create a Page

Go to your page, drop a Data Table from Components. Then open its Settings and choose the collection and field to get data from and **Save. You can customize the form as per your use case.

4. Preview the Data Search Form

Click Preview and you can pull up the data as per the input in the search box created by you.
