Create Modal Using Snippet Snapshot

Once you have create few modals,you can copy their content to create a new modal. It will save your time by sparing you from building a new modal from scratch. There are two ways to copy the content of a modal. One way is to copy content from an existing modal and another way is by using a snapshot.

Snapshot is like a screenshot that keeps all the content in its original state even if the modal from which it was created gets changed or deleted.


How to Create a Modal Snapshot?

Here are the steps to follow to create a modal snapshot:

#1. Go to Snippets panel

If you want to create a new modal by using a snapshot, then first create a modal snapshot.So, go to the Snippets panel in the Right Toolbar and open the settings of the modal whose snapshot you want to take.

#2. Open the Advance Tab

As open you the settings of a modal, you will land on the general settings. So, click on the Advance tab to open it.

#3. Create Snapshot

When you open the Advance tab, a default snapshot name of the modal will already be present. You can edit it as you want or leave it as it is. Then click the Create Snapshot button.

Steps to Create a Modal Using a Snapshot

#1. Go to Snippets panel

Go to the Snippets panel in the Right Toolbar to create a modal by copying an exising modal. Then, click on the Add Snippet button once. A dialogue box, "Create New Snippet" will open in your canvas.

#2. Name the Modal

Now name the modal by typing a name of your choice before preceding to the next step.

#3 Choose the Snippet Type

After adding a name, select the type of Snippet as Modal from the drop-down list as shown below.

#4. Copy Snippet Content

Go to "Copy Snippet Content" field and click on the input bar. A drop-down list containing two options will open. Select the option, Copy from Snippets Snapshots.

#5. Select the Snapshot

As you select the option, "Copy from Snippet Snapshots", an input field will appear automatically under it to select the snapshot that you want to use to create a modal. So click on the input bar and select a snapshot from the drop-down list showing all the created snapshots.

After selecting the snapshot, click on the Create Snippet button. You will be redirected to the newly created modal containing the content of the modal snapshot that you used.
