Date & Time Difference
As the name suggests, Time Difference is a feature to get the difference between two date fields or current date, in derived fields. The difference can be obtained in years, months, weeks, days, hours and so on.
For instance, let's say you have a Date field and you want to get the age of that date value in nearest years nearest no. of weeks nearest no. of hours nearest no of months total no. of days years and months years & months and days years & months & days and hours
You also need the difference between two date fields OR one date field and one current date. Applying this feature you can obtain the difference from the current date.
1. Add a Derived Field
Go to the Derived Fields menu item. A form will show up like below to create a New Derived field. Give a name to this field.
1.2 Select the Type
Next you would find a dropdown in the Select Method Type . From the dropdown choose Date Difference to get a derived field.
2. Fill Derived Field Form
Select the field from the collection that you have created.
2.1 Select the Format
From the dropdown select the format in which you want to display.
2.2 Select the Pattern
Choose the pattern from the dropdown. For eg., in years, months, weeks etc.
3. Show the Derived Field Data
Choose the Show Fields option and you can get the details of the derived fields. The details will be displayed just below the button.
4. Configure the Field for Data Table/Group
Go to the components section and click on it to add let’s say, a data table to the space. You can choose a data table, data group etc., from the components section as per your requirement.
5. Export Data
Click on the border of the data table and you would find the circular Settings Icon . Click on it to export/ bind data from the Collections. A box will appear on doing so. Mention the name of the collection from the dropdown to export its data to this selected table.
6. Preview/Publish
Once all data has been imported you can click the Preview/Publish icon in the top right corner.
7. Create Different Formats
Now that data is input and set you can get it organized and viewed in various formats as below
7.1 Display the Values
Date difference will be displayed in years, months and weeks.
7.2 Display Records
Here's the data from the current data for your analysis in months, days, hours and minutes.
7.3 Another Format for Displayed Values
You can view the all details of your table below with date differences in months, days, hours and minutes.
