Create a Project by Cloning an Existing Project

You can easily create new projects on DrapCode by cloning the existing/old projects you had created. It will save you from building everything from scratch. Also, it will help you save a lot of time and effort.


How to Clone a Project?

1. Login/Sign Up to Your DrapCode Account

Login to your DrapCode account. In case, you have not made it yet, then click here and sign up now.

2. Create a Project

After logging in to your DrapCode account, you will land on your dashboard (which looks as shown in the image below).

To clone a template, just click the Create Project button in the dashboard.

3. Clone an Existing Project

Click the Continue button on "Clone From a Template/Existing Project" card.

4. Select a Project

Choose a project that you want to clone and click the Clone this Project button.

5. Name the Project

Type the project name of your choice and click the create project button. If you want to edit advanced project settings, then click on the Advanced Settings button (marked in red below).

6. Advanced Project Settings

Under the advanced settings, you can choose whether you want to clone the template with all dummy data or not. If you don't want to clone the dummy data then untick the check box.

You can also upload a favicon or upload the icon/logo image of your web app under the advanced settings.

7. Clone the Project

Once you have edited the advanced settings, click the Clone Project button.

8. Start Designing Your App

Now click the Start Designing Your App button and it will take you to your builder console.

9. Builder Console

The Builder Console is where all building and designing action takes place. As you cloned an existing project, your builder will have all the fully designed pages. Everything is 100% customizable so if you want to make changes, go ahead and do it.

You can also get a quick intoduction of the builder, so you can easily navigate through it.

10. Your Dashboard

Once you have successfully created a project, it will start showing in your dashboard in the form of a card.

To open the builder console/project editor, click on the Project Builder button. You can access the project settings and the back office portal from here or take a live view of your app.
