Adding New Columns or Fields to an Existing Data Table
In this video you will know how to add new columns or fields to an existing data table.There are several use cases where you can build a Data Table or Data Group and then add new fields to the collection.
Then you can add those new fields as new columns in the data table. Get a quick workaround how to do it without resetting your Data Table or Data Group layout.
1. Create a Field
Go to your collection and click once on the Add Field option. Assign a name to the field and the press the Save option.
2. Drop a Data Table
From the Components category choose a new Data Table and drop it in the page. Now click on the Settings icon of the Data Table to fill the form. Mention where to get the content from, the collection and the filter. Then Save your settings.
3. Preview the Data Table
You can add data to the collection and then click Preview to have the data displayed in the columns and fields as per your settings.
